Pros

* Automatic script installs of many popular CMS platforms, photo galleries, blogging software, etc.

* Helpful user community

* Free hosting with no advertisements

* mySQL database, PHP, Perl, CGI, etc...

* Great control panel, easy to use for beginners

Cons

* No one-on-one tech support, must use public forums to get answers.

* Site has gone offline once in six moths due to an issue with the server. Might happen again?

As far as free hosting goes, this is the only one I've found worth bothering with. They do charge a small fee for a few things, like mySQL database, PHP mail, etc., but they only ask for that payment once and then you have access to those functions for as long as you keep your site. The bandwidth and storage space is excellent for a free host and there are no ads placed anywhere on your site.
