Getting a 4-Year Degree Seems Like a Good Idea

Share Your Story: How I Became a Web Designer

How did you become a Web designer?

My wife is a Director of a non-profit agency and she had a Marketing team come in and one of the things they did was a web site. After the team left, I started to wonder how they did the site and what could be done with it. So, I started to ask questions and after looking around for two years I found that the local private college had a degree in web design.

Are you self-taught or did you get a degree?

I did get a degree, but am constantly learning new things like PHP, how to set configurations on my server and such. We had a online school at University of Michigan - Flint and I take online classes there. Buy a book and learn from it. Just about anyway I can learn something about web design.
