Starting When You're 14 Helps Grow a Business Quickly

Simplicity, at its finest.™

How did you become a Web designer?

I've always loved technology. Personally, I started making websites when I was just 14 years old (1997), around the time of the dot-com bubble. So I guess one could make the argument that I have been a web designer for 12 years.

Are you self-taught or did you get a degree?

100% self-taught (with a little help from a friend or two). The only class I took related to web design was in high school, and it was a basic computer course which highlighted some HTML coding of basic websites. But, by that time I had already excelled passed that level.

Tips and Tricks

I wouldn't really change anything to be quite honest. I took classes in college that interested me and found a suitable major that coincided with my interests. We founded our company just before I graduated from college, and I have never looked back!

What University or School did you attend?

Edinboro University of Pennsylvania

What degree or certification did you receive?

BA in Earth Sciences

How long ago did you become a Web designer?

Started designing/developing sites when I was 14 (12 yrs ago).
