How to Nominate: Best Designed Information Page

Between January 1 and January 24, 2010 nominate your favorite design in this category. For the subject, give the name of the Web page you wish to nominate. Then include the URL and a short description of why this site best represents the category. 50 character minimum. Do not hesitate to nominate pages that have already been nominated by others. Multiple nominations increase the chances that your choice will make it into the finalists for voting.

BBC

http://www.bbc.co.uk/ This site is so easy to read and use and I love how they integrate pictures into the stories.

http://www.faslist.com

The nav buttons and layout of http://www.faslist.com are easy to use and information is easy to find. I needed to buy a new laptop and I visited faslist.com to research the ones ranked in the top ten. I now find myself visiting fastlist.com regularly to see rankings of all sorts of things that not only interest me personally, but professionally as well. There's a lot of useful information on the site I can easily find and use for my business. Like Letterman's top ten...but way cooler.

SpencerforTexas.com

I love the bold colors and exciting environment of Libertarian candidate Joe Spencer's campaign site for Texas House of Representatives. The information flows well and the design is amazing.

Yahoo!

Allowing you to customize the Yahoo! homepage (http://www.yahoo.com) with all of your favorite sites means you get the information and content that is most important to you in one spot. What’s better than that?

FasList

http://www.faslist.com An up and coming, easy to navigate website that is FULL of good content. There is fresh content almost every day, and the site allows you to interact with the content and not only post comments, but rate items and products, as well as add your own.

Find top 10+ lists of almost anything you can think of. The site is only a couple months old - more lists are added weekly.

FranksCyberCafe.com

An information website with a rather cool design... I think!

BBC News (http://news.bbc.co.uk)

A very well laid out site that mixes standard page layouts with multimedia. I would say the site has declined a bit more than in the past due to the rising use of rich ads that are a bit more disruptive. Still, far better than most US news and information sites.
