Gossimer is by far the best
- They have really good customer support and I have not had any downtime of my website for the past 3 years. Gossimer has low prices, so I gues they are considered a cheap host, but it seems the price is the only thing that is cheap with them. They have the highest quality services and support, what else could you ask for?

Bravenet ROX
- I use Bravenet, not only because it offers many free tools, but it has been VERY reliable for me. My site, http://ShoeStringGenealogy.com, is hosted by Bravenet. Happy Dae.

Cheap web hosting
- I use Blue Host. They had a sale last spring and were offering $4.95 a month. I just have my portfolio on my site so I don't have to worry about bandwidth or email. I have been very happy with them so far (9 months).

GoDaddy for me, too!
- I agree with John - GoDaddy is the way to go. Their support is excellent, and prices are reasonable. Also, I always get an English speaking support person when I call, which is important to me, as my hearing isn't the best to begin with, so heavy accents and/or unusual grammar are difficult for me to understand.

Be careful of cheap web-hosting!
- There are many cheap web hosting options available today. However one should be wary of some of them. I have had bad experience with one such web host who are actually very popular and claim to be award winning. I am withholding the name at this stage as I don't believe in defaming a company. I am sure they are not the only one. The point however is that we cannot always believe what is included in the package. My account offered me with unlimited badwidth and space. However due to a marketing campaign I had 5,000 visits in a day which is not extremely high by any standards and consumed only about 500 MB of my presumably unlimited bandwidth. However they put my site down and I not only lost money on my ad campaign as my site was down, but I was also forced to pay to regain access to download my files and data. Surely I could have gone to court, but who has the time and money to deal with a lawsuit involving a company out of my country's jurisdiction.

IXWebHosting
- There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. Most cheap hosts oversell space and bandwidth because they know that the majority of customers won't use their allotted space and bandwidth, but once you do hit a certain threshold, the host will either get you to upgrade or otherwise take action. This is just common sense.

LFC Hosting - but a note
- We have used LFC hosting now for years and they're great. I will say something about cheap hosting tho - look for hidden fees, do they charge you for bandwidth, email, storage? Some of these charges can add up and pretty soon it won't be cheap hosting anymore!
