Outsourcing is a solution that many companies have. But if you're not set up to handle international time zones and management of remote workers, outsourcing to a foreign country is not always the ideal solution it seems to be at the time.

I took an assignment to alter a client's WordPress site and couldn't figure out the code to make the desired theme change. I contracted someone from India to do it for me and they actually got into client's site, changed the positioning of the side bar so it went down the middle of the page - over the copy. They did this overnight so, when I checked in the morning, it was a mess. I couldn't get ahold of them to ask what happened. The client soon noticed and wanted to know why I did it. It was awful. Luckily, I remembered a copy of the original site on my hard drive that I was able to re-load to put it back to normal. I never did get the client's requested change made.
