Which Page I like
A lot of people have told me they like my blog, at Posturally.
http://www.posturally.com.
I love the logo (a friend did it) but I think the overall look for the blog still needs work.
Why I think this design works
My friend who is a big time creative director, educated me a lot about keeping things VERY simple and understated when designing a logo. She took an idea I had and changed it from two fonts to one and played with the kerning. She italicized the "y" at the end - I had an entirely different font - too loud. I love what she did. (I know the file is bitly. It will get smoothed out soon…)
Tips and Tricks
- Use Create Outlines in Illustrator so you can play with the text as shapes. (did that)
- I'd give it an overall branded look. Right now it's got a number of separate items on it.
- Start with a theme or template you really like and modify from there. That way you avoid a lot of frustration having to interact with code instead of art and design.

Yes and no :) I did some, used Woo themes, and had others work on it, too.
