Coffee Cup HTML Editor
- It does everything I could need, and it's excellent for 'ripping' we sites too.

There's no other choice!
- Dreamweaver is the best (albeit most expensive) on the market.

Expression Web
- I didn't like Frontpage at all, but Expression Web is a great change, and it's so much cheaper than Dreamewver with all the same features.

HTML Kit & Dreamweaver
- I've used several different editor's from frontpage, topstyle, arachnaphillia, coffeecup, to dreamweaver and HTML kit. Of all of them I use dreamweaver the most and HTML Kit next. In dreamweaver, I like the fact that I can open my entire site and view the code, upload the new pages using the internal ftp, and I have never had any problems using it. Also Dreamweaver has HTML Tidy which finds and corrects coding errors (HTML KIT does as well) and they both use color-coding to mark the code for easier reading. Both are great but Dreamweaver is a bit more stable. However, HTML Kit is free; I got dreamweaver through a class I took for college but if I wanted to upgrade it would be cost prohibitive. Desptite that, Dreamweaver is still the best.

best web editor
- #1 namo webeditor is the first webeditor that I used since the past 10 years and would like to make it the best webeditor ever created. #2 coffeecup webeditor is a nice contender, but needs to improve on certain aspects

Komodo Edit
- http://www.activestate.com/komodo_edit/ - It's free, works on Windows, Mac and Linux and provides a great number of features. Why pay for an editor when there is a great free option.

Microsoft Visual Studio

OK I have two to nominate

Coffecup and phpDesigner 7
- I use both IDE editors. Where Coffeecup is a great IDE, I am tending to favor phpDesigner over CoffeeCup. However I do love the features in CoffeCup as well. I am a hard coder. So WYSIWYG editing is not for me as they always mess up my code.

Notepad ++
- Excellent, freeware editor. Lot's of plug ins. Code completion. FTP support. it's all there. Edits HTML, CSS, PHP without any problem. This is a tool from a programmer for a programmer. When you outgrow the standard editors this is the editor to pick
